KP From Higgins types words/says things/Feels Lucky

I have been quite lucky. Over the past couple of years I have been part of some very meaningful and fruitful musical projects. In 2001 I was lucky enough to start a friendship with a Mr Brian Kantor. We were both total music heads. We both grew up (feeling like aliens) on long island and it was nice to know there was another person who only wanted to talk about music and who owned as many Zappa records as I did. I had known of Brian, from seeing him play drums and was a big fan. Around the time of our meeting I was totally consumed with recording music. Brian had got his hands on some and convinced me that it was good and that we should start a band where my songs would be featured. Higgins is what has come from that. For those interested we just released a new record titled Zs and it is out on serious business records. I have been obsessed with music since I was a kid, and struggling to find my place in my surroundings since I can remember. Music has always been where I feel comfortable and where I feel I communicate best. There are alot of dicks out there, and I can and have totally been one. The purest thing I have ever known is the feeling I have gotten when I hear a recording that speaks to me or make something that I believe in. This is why I feel lucky, I see alot of people that don't have something like music in their lives and drown in self pity and negativity. Other projects I have been involved in/played in are, Bloof, Jaha, Merge, Rudy en los Zapatos, The Warm Hair, Delicious Trees, Glass Trees, Jon Biz/Higgins, Wild Honey, The Down Home Souls, The Twilight Procession, Grand Hammer, Exercising Demons, Secret Dakota Ring, Rocketship Park, Sit and Spin, The Others, The Banged Up, The Year Of Fun, Almost (The Lilys), KP and The Sunshine Band and some I have forgotten. By the way, Shawn asked me to do this and I dont know if anybody gives a fuck but I woke up and this is what came to mind (hope this is ok Shawn). The records I have been loving recently are. Apollo Sunshine Shall Noise upon, Nilsson Sings Newman , The Soft Drugs EP's, Secret Dakota Ring Canterell, Caribou Andorra, The High Llamas Beet Maize & Corn. Music is the best.
