Hello Friends,

In an attempt to get in touch with you all about things involving the band Higgins, I am sending out this first ever Higgins musics email! Yes folks, we have an email entirely devoted to everyone's favorite, tastefully not in your face, rock outfit. So lets not make a big deal about it and get to the meat of this thing.

Firstly,
We are playing our first show in almost a year tonight 2.12.2011. 8pm at the Cakeshop in NYC. This is very exiting for us because we are playing with my favorite new band Yellowbirds. Yellowbirds are Incredible and we are honored that they have asked us to play their Record Release Show. Also, BK and Josh (of Higgins fame) will be playing with Yellowbirds. Eh... Eh...

Secondly,
I have decided that the new Higgins record is done. Its not mixed completely yet and though I have a concept, not a lick of the artwork has been done... But I will be tracking no more and I am proud to say that Serious Business Records will open its arms to us once more and lob it out in a couple of months. There will be a few digital download whistle wetters before the "full release"... The album will be entitled "Straight A's" in honor of my current scholastic pursuits. Its full of all the things that make us us and a few new twists and "are they really doing this?" moments. It also features a bunch of guests, old and new friends on various instruments. I will keep you posted on the latest with that...

Lastly,
If you don't want to get these updates, let me know and I'll take you off this list. Otherwise, I hope you all are doing great and enjoying this ass kicking winter.

Great F'ng records from great F'ng folks coming soon. Oh and Yellowbirds "The Color" on Royal Potato Family... of course
